Will Lil Mosey Return To The Charts This Summer?

It has been five years since Lil Mosey last charted with his biggest song 'Blueberry Faygo' but things are looking up.

Unfortunately for Mosey, the covid-19 pandemic hit right around the same time he released his last charting song 'Blueberry Faygo'. This coupled with allegations of second-degree rape in April 2021 really halted the momentum the artist was beginning to generate during 2020. In April 2023, he was cleared of second-degree rape but word was slow to spread about his innocence.

His first song back 'Flu Game' generally received positive feedback before experimenting with new sounds on the following singles 'One Too Many' and 'Life Goes On'. Many fans demanded he ditch the Olivia Rodrigo inspired music and returned to rap. Mosey would do this in his next song 'Back Down Road' and although being a personal favourite of mine, it received fewer streams than expected. Mosey then followed this up with what was seen as another comeback song in 'Thug Popstar', which is one of his better songs for streaming numbers recently.

Mosey then demonstrated his growth as an artist with a female empowering lead single for his new epilogue 'Love U Forever' called 'By Yourself'. Again, the project had positive feedback overall, seen as a solid first project back after a couple years out.

Momentum seemed to be with Mosey as his song 'Not You' went viral on Instagram and TikTok when originally he teased it. It took a while for him to release the song but he eventually did in October and it has received just under four million streams since.

Mosey's mother would then tragically pass bringing more hard times for him. He put his pain in his music with 'Call' serving a powerful reminder to cherish every moment you have with your loved ones.

That brings us to 2025 where his song 'Call My Phone' was trending on Instagram audio and has been streamed just shy of two million times on Spotify. This was followed up by 'Selfish' which is yet to reach one million streams in the two months since it's release but the YouTube video has received the most views on his channel since 'Thug Popstar'. With success in his last two songs and fans eager to see the results of teaming up with producer Royce David for the first time in years, can Mosey make it back onto the charts?
